A Message from Dr. Greg Patino

Dear Healthcare Professional,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share a meaningful opportunity to serve our community through volunteering at Bethesda Free Clinic in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. My wife and I have been volunteering there and have found the experience both humbling and rewarding.

About Bethesda Free Clinic

Bethesda provides free basic medical and dental care to adults, regardless of income or insurance status. Services include general care, dental extractions, health education, and wellness counseling. Functioning similarly to an urgent care clinic, Bethesda treats common conditions, manages chronic illnesses like diabetes and hypertension, and promotes overall wellness.

Volunteer Flexibility and Support

Understanding the demanding schedules we face in healthcare, Bethesda offers complete flexibility. Whether you’re available a few hours monthly or more, your time is valued. The application process is simple, and the team offers support every step of the way.

Liability Protection

Volunteers are protected under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), which provides medical malpractice coverage for licensed providers acting within their volunteer role—ensuring peace of mind.

A Renewed Mission

Under the leadership of Director Ron Chambers, Bethesda is energized with a renewed vision and commitment to compassionate care. Ron welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with healthcare professionals and values the unique strengths each provider brings.

Volunteering at Bethesda not only meets a vital need—it connects you with a network of professionals who care deeply about making a difference.

Fun-Tober Fall Festival

We would like to thank everyone that came to our Fun-Tober Fall Festival last night! A special thanks to our Board of Directors for helping pass out candy, and the St. Patrick students that assisted with the games. And we can't forget about CB'S Jamaican Jerk,
Pura Juice Bar and Chef Rodney's Concession Food Truck. We had fantastic music from the jazz band, Caution Swing Bridge! The crowd enjoyed the music and the fun!
